It's the same in Canada for prints. Good luck getting them off your file. I
don't believe DNA sample collection is routine here (yet).
I am quite amazed (perhaps I'm just naive) at the continued erosion of
personal liberties in the UK under the watch of a supposed small l liberal
Prime Minister. The national ID card is but another example (I'm sure you
are aware of more recent examples.)
