No, the real stuff.

We're being inundated by television advertising for Spam at present.  I've
always regarded it as a waste product - mechanically recovered fragments of
meat boiled up and set in jelly - the lowest cost option.

Then I checked the price in our local supermarket.  HELL!

It's the most expensive meat on offer - well over twice the
price/kilogramme of the 'fresh' sirloin steak on the butcher's shelf.  And
around twice the price of corned beef, which is a very similar proposition.
