Email isn't exactly using the web... well, yes it uses the web, but what I mean is that one can do email and not really have to do much with the web at all to do it... there are "machines" set to just do email, just for Gramma to exchange messages with the wee ones... and most anyone that does any internet stuff at all can show someone how to do email. Telnet requires a different program... and when I've been traveling, and want to telnet in to my bbses to check to see if I have messages, I can't always find a program on someone else's computer to do it... and sometimes, when I explain what it is, all I get is very blank stares, even from otherwise rather computer-knowledgable people... Nice that you have users that let you know when there are problems, too... I try to do that for my sysops, too... :) ttyl neb ...
