I can not speak about patriot act uses but I can tell you this. Since the
beginning of the year there have been at least a dozen non-patriot requests
for records at this small ISP. Those require a judge to sign off on it so
they are less common.

It's the reason I've set the mail server logs to purge at 3 days, they
haven't forced ISP's to hold 2 years worth of logs yet but they are working
on it. It's probably the biggest invasion of privacy ever and it's being
done silently because that's what the law requires.
