Returnable 1 quart size soda bottles. It works for my macaws and
moluccans. I bought holders from Strombergs (you can find their number
in Bird Talk) that are made for large parrots. The springs that come
with them are useless with big birds, but the largest hose clamps you
can get in an auto parts store work well to hold them. They fit on the
outside of the cage (the bottle part) so can be changed without going in
the cage. Even found out that the bottles can go upside down in the
dishwasher. Easy to get a new supply too - just buy a case of soda. I
think they charge .10 deposit per bottle and .30 for the case when you
buy the soda for about $5. a case.
Hope this helps.
