Here's what's needed:

On the NT machine:
-- Create user accounts for each of the W98 systems. Passwords are optional.

On each W9x system:
1) RIght-click on the Network neighborhood icon and make sure that the the
Logon is set to LOGON FOR WINDOWS NETWORKS. You'll be prompted to restart if
you need to make any changes.
2) Log on using one of the user accounts for the NT machine, and password (if
needed).

Optionally-- you can use Microsoft's free TweakUI Control Panel add-on to
auto-logon the W9x systems.
