      Title: Vidalia Onion Salad
 Categories: Salad, Vidalia, Onion
      Yield: 4 servings
 
      3 lg Vidalia onions, sliced
      1 c  White vinegar
    1/2 c  Water
    3/4 c  Sugar
      1 t  Salt
      1 t  Parsley, chopped
    1/8 t  Basil
        ds Red pepper
 
  Combine all ingredients except onions and heat until sugar melts.
  Pour over onions and serve over lettuce. Keeps well refrigerated for
  several days if stored in an air tight container.
