I'm have problems with my Netcomm M34F. It is a 28.8 kbps modem.

I am experiencing a large number of synchronisation errors and CRC errors
in downloading files from BBS. I'm getting about 30+ for a 1MB file
download. I don't get any errors uploading files. I been having theses
problems for a while.

Are these errors a product of line noise or it is something I can play with
with my modem settings (sorry I don't have them to hand) to improve
(reduce) the number of errors I'm getting.
