I don't agree with this. There is a large group of virus authors who
don't release their virussen in the wild, but instead release the
sourcecode in virus magazines. These people are not of the mentality
described above, as they find satisfaction in defeating the operating
system or anti-virus software, NOT in harming others or their property.
Their virusses do get into the wild however,.. kids who are too lazy to
write or learn to write virusses themselves will grab the virus sourcecode
from a virus magazine and compile and spread it,.. the slightly less
lazy kids might even insert a payload themselves. These virus spreaders
are the real vandals.
Then again, a certain amount of virus authors definitly will spread
their own virusses..
