Hello Alan,
18-Apr-97 15:48:26, Alan C Muir did write to Ian Underwood
Subject: Qedit Macro's
ACM> A couple of questions :-)
I'll do my best, but I think we must refer to the original
message :-))

IU>> Hmmm can do, I offered to put them on Snow Cave

*If* they get sent to Snow cave I will be sending the four files
as listed in my original message - Steve may well change the
that - his TERLIST (or whatever his Freq list is called for
the support files is the safest bet for filenames)
ACM> Will they work with Junior Ver 4? I am using a great macro

I really must find the time to play more with macros - I am not
putting Qedit to full use! (not enough hours in a day ;-)
Reading the support docs, I found a reference to converting
macros - hang on I'll "find" that for you
Doing a search on the word "convert" on all files in Ver3c
---------- f:qedit.doc
Converting Macro Binary Format to Text Format. . 102
convert the macro from text back to binary:
---------- f:qtips.doc
Converting QEdit 2.x Macros to 3.0
process to convert your macros from 2.15 to 3.00.
(3) For each of the *.MAC files, run QMAC to convert them to text files.
Where is the file to convert.
This process is for everyone, it will convert your QEdit 2.15 macros into
3.0) to convert them to binary files.
---------- f:read.me
To use these macros in QEdit 3.0, simply convert the binary macro to text
format using your pre-3.0 version of QMAC, and then convert that text macro
I'd expect similar support to be in the version you have,
besides, isn't Jnr just Qedit3c renamed?
Whereas Ver4 has the testdrive crippled version (I do have all
this info to hand somewhere, but it just crossed my mind that
we may well be talking about/using the same version!)
The AMAC1-4 files were uploaded to Axiom and made available for
Freq by the Sysop

I suppose I should ask you what you have done with the macros
from Don Alt that you have found so useful ;-))
