Many BBses of the "old guard", the ones which kept the flame lit
when many of
us (myself included) turned away elsewhere -- kept and maintain their RIP
screens.

One of the best out there is SILENT RUNNING BBS (get RIPtel and telnet to:
silent-running.com) and be prepared to be amazed.

Another BBS with RIP would be another old timer: Juxtaposition BBS here in
Montreal. Not as good as Silent Running BBS tho. There are many others.

RIP screens are part of the BBS history and heritage. They are an opition and
there are tools out there for the ones who want to use them!
