	The new buzz, "SAAS", Software As A Service, is where all of the
big companies want to go.  You will be tethered to their servers and your
data will reside there.  If you are naive enough to allow it.  In the
mean time, M$ and the rest are working toward your (if you use Windows)
apps only working when you are online and the apps can phone home.

	Once you are into that world you won't have the option of
keeping an old or legacy app that works well.  Once an update is
out you get it next time you log on.  Forget paying once; you will
pay a constant (and no doubt increasing) fee for use.  Net down?
Server problem? You're temporarily down, too.
