Yup.

The major problemo is time & logistics. Elections in January &
Fallujah et al still "running their own affairs" tsk tsk.

Wrt the poor sods who decided not to drive fuel tankers in convoy through
an area festooned with RPG toting hostiles.....I'm right with them.

Many trucks in a long convoy pulling large thin skinned vats of flammable
fuel.....I suspect the feelling in the hostiles is much like GaryB keeps
saying i.e. "F*ck Yeah".

One front, one back & if the trucks can't handle cross country then
prepare to get all toasty.

Not nice.

I have a feeling it's why the UK forces are being asked to extend north to
iskanderia (despite the large US camp at Babylon) i.e. to protect convoys
etc transiting a natural choke point (Hilla, Karbala,Iskanderia triangle)
coz they're OK till they leave the UK sector & then the wild west wagon
train + hostiles starts.

If they're going to do that, it would be much better if the UK sector was
extended north to there but.....that would bring the Babylon camp under UK
control & that would mean US forces under UK control.....
