Nor have I. I guess the most accurate USN pronunciation of "submariner" is "bubblehead" (or something obscene). Watch collectors, and Rolex-wearers, no doubt, are a little more classy . I myself favor a Citizen Eco-Drive (solar-powered) chronograph. Being a QM, I like clocks: I have a wind-up ship's bell clock, a weight-driven (as opposed to a motor) Black Forest cuckoo clock, and even a salvaged USN wind-up 24-hour clock. On an almost-unrelated note, I have been getting a god-awful amount of spam offering to sell me Rolexes. The latest idea, I guess, and everyone copies it. -- Steve http://www.qmss.com/sewing --- BBBS/NT v4.01 Flag-5* Origin: Barktopia BBS Site http://HarborWebs.com:8081 (1:379/45) SEEN-BY: 633/267 270 5030/786 @PATH: 379/45 1 633/267 |
