WRONG! As stated in the AUDIO ECHO RULEs which I  happen to be
intimately familar with, since I'm the moderator there, go to the
CAR_AUDIO echo if you want to talk about car sound, in AUDIO it is
considered topic duplication since CAR_AUDIO exists.
 It is not easily tolerated in AUDIO, where the topic was destroying any
serious discussion of good car sound  by people only wanting "bass" and
more "bass" at higher and higher volumes and no clue as to do about
anything that has wires involved and no intention to get a clue, yet
seeking instant answers for complex problems with dubious merit if given
the knowledge with which to do what they desired.
While there are some fine auto sound specialists that hang out in the
echo. They, like the rest of the echo is largely interested in faithful
reproduction of what ever we as consumers get for media from those that
make the records (records??!!), tapes, broadcast media, CDs, DVDs,
Internet, whatever.
To try to be somewhat in sync with the topic of this message, what is
going on here? Although the message traffic is rather low now (it has
been much higher in the past) there have and are some great folks here,
and I hope that the echo remains going. It's a place I like to visit
whenever surfing Fido.
I told the folks in AUDIO that as long as there is a Fidonet, and they
want to participate in the echo, I'll do my best to keep the echo going.
I hope that the moderator here (or future replacement if needed) will be
of the same mindset.
