Folks, I was just about to send my response to the post Shawn forwrded,
but this post has changed mymind.  If others are interested in my
response, ask me and I'll either post it to the list if there's enough
interest in contiuing this discussion or send it individually.  Just
briefly, I thought it was a well-reasoned, valid list of experiences and
points, and for the most part, I agree -- you'll remember that I started
the Mago0o thread because I wasn't sure of the appropriate method of
addressing the movie.
However, I have some real problems with some of what was said.  Why will I
not post it without further invitation?
1.  Shawn is not really interested; despite stating his last post on the
subject was indeed going to be his list, my response to that apparently
put him on the defense, and incapable of arguing for his own unswaying
convictions, he searched for another's words to do it for him.
2.  I do not feel it is prudent to give him the satisfaction of my time
and energy, when he appears, at least from his posts here, to be merely
interested in baiting us -- note his sterling contribution to this thread.
He continues to be ad hominem and cast aspersions merely for their own
sake, and cares nothing for the hard-working, devoted people at whom he
throws his words.  
3.  The original author is not with us here, and it would be futile to
post a rebuttal here.
4.  I have no interest in preaching to the converted nor in wasting
precious time on those who disagree.
