Well I could see how the fixation on the temperature could count
as a superstition and adding/deleting clothes constantly certainly is a
stereotypical behavior if you think about it. They can be simple acts or
ritualized behavior. I guess the cut off might be if it is interfering with
ADLs or functioning.
Have you done an MMPI? The hyprochrondriasis, anxiety and depression
scales (among others) might be interesting.
