subject: File Check Loop

     Bonjour Steven Lisson!

Le 14 mars 1997, Steven Lisson ecrivait a All un message parlant de
"File Check Loop"...

SL> I was just wondering if someone could tell me a program that I could

You may try to use CHOICE.COM from DOS. You can set an amount of time
to be waited before it automatically makes a choice for you. So you can
have it wait the amount of time, and the waiting may be shortened by
pressing the defined key.

     CHOICE /C /N /T: ,3
              ^ ^
In this example, CHOICE is waiting the user to input " " (ASCII-255).
If nothing happens after 3 seconds, it automatically presses " ", and your
batch continues its running...

Note that "marked" (^) characters are ASCII-255 which you may input by
typing Alt+255... And even, you can add a message to be displayed (such as
"Please wait...", or so).

     Amicalement,
