   True, but unfortunately, this has led to the proliferation
   of multi-megabyte graphics cards and, in turn, an escalation
   of the passing of large structure arrays in VGA memory.
   Finally, at this late date, we see games based solely on this
   neat little trick, such as DOOM, wherein the player wanders
   the huge 3D structure arrays being passed in search of the
   inevitable and ubiquitous off-by-one errors.
