RW>We have discussed nicads here before but I have a
RW>specific question about them. How can you test an
RW>individual nicad (AA) battery to see if it will hold
RW>it's rated amp-hours?
Rich: Get a small (travel alarm) Analog clock (dial type so it will
hold its reading) that runs on a penlight cell. Put a resistor
across it that will draw the amount you want, then set the clock to
12, and insert or connect your battery. When it runs down the time
will be indicated and you can calc the AH. With a bit of
experience you can tell the good uns from the bad uns. Works.
