possibly, [1] they were not known at the time of the formation of the BB
model?, [2] they were not relevent to the BB model? I don't know enough
to provide any sort of "authoritative" (ha, ha) answer to that question.

My guess would be that the BB model is not meant to explain *everything*, but
to provide an educated guess about what maps of Universe would look like in
the "past". Of course we should probably define the term "BB model" more
precisely as it could mean several things.
