Hi everyone
Being accountants, we need to do a lot of figure work in our letters.
Most of the time, I tend to shove in an excel spreadsheet into a word
document, so that I can add the figures, and do nice underline before
the total and double underline under the total.
How can the same thing be done satisfactorily in Word without touching
excel? I'm not fussed about the adding up of the figures, but of
creating the underline before the total and double underline afterwards.
Using a typewriter, we always did it as follows:
----------
$ 1234.56
==========
Of course, when you try this with proportional fonts, it is a disaster.
Has anyone any suggestions? In the meantime, I've been cheating and
just putting the total in bold with no underlining at all. Not our
preferred choice.
Cheers
Lauren
