There was a second crushing accident, but it only involved amputation and not
loss of life.  The attraction was immediately closed.  There will not be any
more "carousel" type attractions located there (that is why it has been 
losed
for many years... now that Mission to Mars is closed, they are discussing
razing both buildings... they waited since both were connected.  Another
option is to gut the inside of the buildings and remove the "carousel" unit).
This is at least according to the current plans.  There may be some changes 
n
time... but safety concerns are very important... and ever since it was the
"carousel of progress" there have been many injuries due to the Cast Members
not obeying the rules... we might just have to put some adult cast member in
there instead of the teens and young adults, if any carousel ride is 
eveloped
in the future.  Carousel of Progress/America Sings has been the most
"expensive" attraction due to liability costs and claims paid in damages over
the years.  So odds are, the building will be razed or gutted.
