I can set the T23 to boot from the USB floppy, so hopefully the same
sort of thing should apply to the Z60

:) Would hope so...

Not sure of that, though from Steven's message it sounds as though it
should work.

Good to know. The T30 I tried (had to go back for a number of defects)
didn't seem to have the touchpad activated and I couldn't see anywhere
in the BIOS to activate it had I wanted to.

I don't have any immediate need for wireless. I live in a converted
barn (walls are stone, about 2.5' thick) and wirless doesn't work here.
I'm looking at a couple of homeplugs for use here, but having wireless
for other places would be useful in the longer term.

:) Sounds like a plan... I'll have to try again on the T23 and see if I
can at least make enough sense of what is going on to report the
problem.

Not sure if any of the local (!) computer shops stock them. Probably
worth a try though. I've got the demo CD somewhere (I think I gave the
first couple I burnt away, but I can always burn another when I work
out where the ISO is....
Certainly that would be worth a try. Trouble is, not enough time. This
one is selling on eBay and it finishes on Sunday. Oh well, more
research is called for, or I look at T4x series instead (though I can't
afford the local prices for any of the 4xp variants, which is what I
would like to get...).
Thanks for the suggestions.
regards,
paul.
