Dan,
DC>Well, a bit of "sink or sail", I guess! Anyhow, that's
DC>pretty much the way I learned, and learn. Hands on, with
DC>the instruction for correcting mistakes seems the best
DC>way for me, at least.
DC>If you are willing to learn, and willing to invest in both the
DC>boat and the time to learn how to be comfortable handling it, DC>then
go for it! At worst, you'll get some additional instruction DC>on the
never-mastered art of sailing.
Pleasant words of encouragement!..Your way and my way of learning
something new are pretty much one in the same. I do believe that in
time I could learn to safely handle a boat of any size. But I have
Utmost Respect for the Gulf, not to mention other areas a boat like this
can go. I never want to be responsible for someone being hurt (or
worse) because of good intentions gone bad for lack of knowlege of what
I am doing to cause such an incident.
Best Regards! Phil, Odessa FL, 9-6, 13:35
