There is a fair amount of it that turns up from major mfgs in the
surplus market. Dumped by those who abandoned it, or discounted to make
place for newer, faster.
It may well retain some of the security of wiring that is challenged by
wireless, just an assumption on my part that nobody is up the telephone
pole outside the house reading signal leaking out over the mains/power
wires.
There is also the parallel technology that used phone wiring already in
the house. That may have been MS-centric,and does need its own special
cards.

Is anyone using powerline networking for their OS/2 or eCS based
system?
If yes, would you please share with me the make and model information?
I'm thinking of getting some equipment, and I don't want to be tied to
M$ because of any required drivers.
Thanks,
-Mark
