I didn't install SUSE, but did install Xandros and my suggestion is that 
whatever you do don't let Linux create the installation partitions.  I did 
and it was royally hosed and nothing would boot.  I ended up booting to the 
DFSee CD and removing the Xandros partition and the Linux Swap partition 
and then all was well again.  I then used DFSee to create both partitions 
and the install went well.  According to Jan, Linux doesn't always abide by 
valid partition sequencing.  Also as Rob and others say, make sure you 
don't allow Linux to install its bootloader to MBR, but tell it you will be 
using your own Boot menu.  The bootloader that comes with Xandros only 
seemed to know Linux and windoze partitions so it wouldn't allow me to add 
OS/2 to it.
