subject: Passwords on Rebuilt files

Hello everyone,
I have a small problem with database security with
the following:
In Paradox for Windows 5.0, passwords can be assigned
to databases for different levels of access and that works
fine. However, if for some reason the database corrupts and
and has to be rebuilt, the passwords are not transferred to the
new rebuilt file and therefore is left unprotected.
I will say this, the passwords are the same for all the
databases in the system so there is no need to fetch passwords
from the original corrupt database.
All I really need to know is how to automatically assign the
passwords once it is through w/ the rebuilding process. The clients
can not do it manually of course and I am having trouble coding
Object PAL to fetch the new file and attach passwords to it.
Can anyone help???
I would sincerely appreciate it. Thank you in advance.
