A BBS can, of course, support *both* ANSI and RIP, seamlessly. Unless you
actually connected with a RIP-enabled client, you shouldn't be able to tell if
a BBS supports RIP or not.

That said, my BBS (and Synchronet in general) is RIP enabled, but there seem to
be very few users interested in using RIP terminals.
