When was that, John?  I'm considerably older than you are, and I can't
remember such a time.  It was almost always legal if some number of doctors
(the number varied by state) certified that the abortion was medically
necessary.

But it's interesting that you consider women dying or being sterilized by
septic abortions being not as bad as when women could obtain antiseptic
abortions.  It points out how misogynistic you are.
