Yukon.zip is on Hobbes and Genmac reportedly also works with the Marvell,
but for now I am a bit Rube Goldberg since my wireless nic is not
supported. I'm not convinced there is a lot to gain from the gigabit when
running like this, but at some point I will get the urge to "mess
around". To get started I just took the easy route knowing the
Realtek would work and that latency is lower on 10/100 than it is on
Gigabit. I am using 3 PC's in an array, one Linux, one WSeB, and a very
old Abit Classic Pentium box running Linux that connects the switching hub
to WiFi. The Classic Pentium box has a Promise IDE accellerator and 256
megs of ram so it actually isn't too awful bad with 2 CD drives and a DVD
drive but it started out as just a hardware firewall with the WSeb and
modern Linux box handling all the hard drive chores. I know it is a bit
overly complex when one considers the uptimes possible with either syst

linux box is a P3 machine I resurrected when I found a server chip, 1.4GHz
P-III-S 1.w/ 512k cache, for $48 US) and I'm having fun while doing work
most of the time although sometimes working at having fun.
Unless you're running a gigabit switch, there's no point in "going
gigabit" anyway - the gigabit NIC will find a 10/100 hub/router/switch
and step down to 100 anyway...
