Well, that could be a problem - it doesn't come with a floppy and I'm not sure
it has a normal floppy interface. I do have a USB floppy, but whether that can
be used to update drivers during boot, I really don't know...

I've managed to glean some information about it (thinkwikki is a wondeful
resource...).

Its an Intel P4

So far as I can tell, its a centrino chipset (910GML or 915GM northbridge).

SATA, but I haven't managed to work out what the controller is, so I have no real
way of telling if its supported by the Dani drivers. Reading the docs, a lot of
Intel SATA stuff is supported, but...

The SNAP drivers I've got on the T23 list the i915GM/GMS, so hopefully the video
should be supported. Not having that support would be crucial.

:) I've had more than a few problems with 2.0 beta 2, so it would be 1.2mr.
The machine
has USB 2 support, so hopefully there shouldn't be problems there.

Well, it seems that the Alsa drivers support it, but I'm not sure if that
translates into Uniaud - haven't seen a list of the chipsets that it
supports. The audio is supposedly AD1981HD and Intel 82801FB, which I
know nothing about at all.

It has both the standard IBM trackpoint and some sort of touchpad. I don't
really expect problems with those. Can't say I'm fond of touchpads, so I
would probably disable that if I could anyway.

Broadcomm for the wired ethernet. So hopefully it should be supported.

>WiFi - Check if supported by the current version of GenMac Wrapper.

Haven't found any information as to what the chipset for the WiFi is. I
can live without it if necessary, though support would be nice.

:) Now there's a bit of an understatement. I've just been trying the latest
ACPI/APM combination. ACPI on its own works, though it kills things like the
ability to monitor the battery charge. The APM tools had dreadful results -
the system booted the first time, but when it got to the desktop, it was in
super slow motion. Took more than a minute to even get it to reboot on
CTRL-ALT-DEL. Next time I tried, I never got a desktop at all. Eventually
I was able to recover the system, but it had to be turned off to do it.

I'll have to try some more, but at the moment, it seems completely broken
on my T23.

>Video / Audio on-screen display - there a great utility that emulates

:) Yeah. I'm using it on my T23. Trouble is, it doesn't work with the new ACPI
stuff at all - Jan did explain the problem in the docs, IIRC, but it doesn't
sound fixable from his side.

>I think that's everything !

:) I hope so. So far, it looks possible, but a bit iffy. Not sure if I want
to risk that sort of money on it, but it certainly does sound like a nice bit
of kit...

I'll let you know how I get on if I do go ahead.
