The pizza *is* good, but my wife has developed an aversion to it so we don't go there too often anymore. There is also a "Mystic Pizza II" strategically placed between I-95 and Foxwoods Casino, but she developed an aversion the *that* one even earlier. And God forbid I should want a real NJ pizza when we're visiting! She doesn't like grease, when everyone knows if it's not drooling down the back of your hand as you eat, it's not real pizza. Sad to say, the further north you go the worse it gets. I was stationed in Kittery, Maine (Portsmouth Naval Shipyard) for a while-- really nice place, but awful pizza. Around here it is usually "Greek" pizza-- pizzerias run by Greeks rather than Italians. They eat them with knife and fork. There is the famous Pepe's in New Haven, supposedly the best of the best: never been there (although you can tell I feel strongly about my pizza!) but I have had the products of some of their acolytes, and it's okay... not like I remember from my youth, but close. -- Steve http://www.qmss.com/sewing --- BBBS/NT v4.01 Flag-5* Origin: Barktopia BBS Site http://HarborWebs.com:8081 (1:379/45) SEEN-BY: 633/267 270 5030/786 @PATH: 379/45 1 633/267 |
