C cells are awfully large... maybe you mean an AA?? there are a lot of those out there... we used to replace some built-in battery stuffs with double or quad AA cells in a holder we got from radio shack... in many cases, we could remove the old wires from the connector, very carefully with a toothpick or simila sharp object to raise the clip holding the connector into the plastic housing... then it was simply a matter of connecting the wires of the new piece to the connector of the old one and putting it back into the housing for a one-unit plug... in a lot of cases, we soldered the new stuff to the old... but i did have a box of connector ends that would fit the housing so we used them, too... kinda like the pins or sockets on parallel and serial cables, those connector ends were... i've sat in place many times crimping parallel or serial male pins or female sockets pieces on to cables for fitting into housings... Thanks. those are the main factors... of course, the feed amperage is also a valuable part of the formula but you know this you old radio dog, you :) )\/(ark --- FMail/Win32 1.60* Origin: (1:3634/12.71) SEEN-BY: 3/0 633/267 640/954 712/0 620 848 @PATH: 3634/12 123/500 261/38 712/848 633/267 |
