| subject: | Re: [OS2HW] OT - Win dial-up |
Hiya Don't forget too that Win98 has a really lousy tcp/ip stack and that dialup must be "registered" as with their stoopid "connection wizard". Sometimes the best way in Win98 is to delete every connection having to do with networking and start from scratch with "DialUp Networking" and the connection wizard (where I usually pound the keys selecting "manual" install thank you very much.... kriminy! This is reminding me just how screwed up Win9x, shoot! windows in general! is about networking. The great little dialer starting w/ Warp 3 was so cool with all the settings all in one place. I even signed up back then with IBM as an ISP for awhile I was so pleased with how straightforward it was. Ahhh the good ol' days (well, not that good I guess considering speeds but you know what I mean) Jimmy [Non-text portions of this message have been removed] ------------------------ Yahoo!
