he would send her back.  ;-)

Yes, it is.  Well, kind of.  For these things, you have to think on very
large time scales.  We are at the ending warm times for the last
post-glacial period.  These 'minima' swings will continue for the next five
thousand years or so, every couple of hundred years or so.  They're call
"flips" IIRC: flip on, flip off.  The periods between flips will
get shorter each time, and longer in duration, before they flip back to
warm.  There will come a time when there will be no flip back.  Oops. 
That's the next pre-glacial period.

I'm aware of one climatologist who has warned that given the current rate
of ocean warming (Global warming's effect), that the next flip in the next
500 years could be the last for a very very long time.
