While technically, one DOES need a node number for FREQing, *I* use a
point system for my mail reading, and haven't been refused a FREQ from
any system YET. I understand allowing FREQ access for points is
optional, but it has worked well for me. The main problem I have with
that is that it requires me to take up about 3+ meg of HD space for the
FidoNet Nodelist.
