I counted ballots *once* like that.  How hard is it to make an "X"?

I'd see dots, check marks, slashes, etc. in the box.  As I recall (this was
a long time ago) we counted most everything that was a mark in or on the
box.  I recall one that just had some scribbles on the ballot, don't know
it the voter was incapable, incapacitant, or what.

I remember having the most massive headache afterwards, like my head was in a vise.
