In Michigan voter registration address change is handled through the
Secretary of State. Change your address for your driver's license or state
ID and the appriate city gets notified of the change for their records.
Change your address at the city and the state gets notified to make the
change on your license. Michigan voters by law must use the same address
for their drivers licenses, state IDs and voters registration. It wouldn't
be that hard to have the remaining states sync together.
There will be legal challenges over a mailing address challenge by
advocates for the homeless. There are quite a few living in the parks here
downtown although I would wonder how many would even bother to vote
I settle for a valid purge criteria of voting records. Make people
re-register when they update their drivers license , state ID or something
along that line
