Hi! Ed, On Mon, 02 Sep 13, you wrote to me: PQ>> I use and heartily recommend one called (Video) PQ>> DownloadHelper, a freebie, currently at version 4.9.21 (the PQ>> version ought to help you identify it as well). EV> I just learned of a Firefox Add On called YouTube ALL HTML5 that EV> the site I heard of it on, said it may help for YouTube videos that EV> don't use Flash. Most, if not all, from YouTube come down in MP4 format. There may be an option to change that in DownloadHelper but I ain't gonna go looking for it. MP4 is the best format for viewing flicks over our LAN. There's only one MP4 movie in my collection that needs to be on a local USB drive for either of the TVs, and that's because it's DVD quality. I've also got a few in AVI & FLV format that need to be on the USB as well, since they just don't stream properly after about 15 minutes' running time. EV> I grabbed it, but I can't remember if You use Firefox on your EV> computers or not. EV> I haven't played with it enuf to know if anything is different EV> or not. Oh, okay. Yes, we use FF everywhere here but I'm not interested in any more Add On apps; too many already. :) I had a poke around on my BBS machine yesterday and found FF installed on it. Version 2.-something I think it is, because that vBox used to be my own hardware-based Win98 PC before I switched to Linux stuff (2004?). (I still have the PC and USR v.everything modem sitting under a dust cover, under the house. It's waiting to be pulled out and fired-up again, if ever.) EV> ... Have you checked your smoke detector batteries, LATELY?! Yep. Thanks for that. I don't need so many by using VirtualBox-ed PCs these days. ;) Cheers, Paul. ...
