something, either your offline tool or the synchronet bbs you are using, is
stripping those characters out of your messages...

that may be because the win-1252 character set doesn't have anything for
those characters or it has other characters entirely...

i use TimED, a sysop's reader/editor that accesses the message bases
directly outside of the bbs...

more likely this is the culprit stripping out characters above 127...

it? the origin line indicates that that site's domain is hosted on or by
the christmas islands ;)
