voters trickled in one-by-one and I would be voter #25 after work. Now I
have all these neighbors...

I tried to go this morning around 9:00 thinking that the early wave of
people trying to vote before work would have nearly finished.  WRONG! I
have never seen so many people at my precinct!  The fire station parking
lot was full; the church's parking lot was full; and cars were parked along
my road on both sides from the intersection below my house all the way to
the top of the hill past the fire station! People were wrapped around the
building and snaked out through the parking lot, and it was starting to
rain.  So I just went on to work and came back after work to vote.

I got there about 6:30 and still had to park in the church's parking lot
and then walk up the road (in the dark wearing black - what was I
thinking!).  I got back in my car about 7:20, so it wasn't as bad as it
would have been earlier - and wasn't raining, either.

The precinct captain said it had been like that all day.  No problems with
the new voting machines there according to him.
