JH> Actually, if schools were changed into businesses it wouldn't take
JH> much more than a semester for an actively concerned parent to tell if
JH> the institution was doing any good. When we put schools into the
JH> marketplace then teachers become _our_ employees and each school
JH> will have to be held accountable for it's staff. Now, bad teachers can
JH> be shuffled around from one outpost to another while having a negative

DH> I do like your style, just think, if we can get rid of the bad
DH> teachers, our kids might actually get an education!'
More than that, if we made education the sole responsibility of parents,
then parents would probably take more interest than they already do.
I've heard soooo many teachers say that the quality of a child's education
depends on how involved the parents are. I'm all for ending compulsory
education not to mention Federal interference.
