You'd have thought that based on importing hardware from the far east, 
some European Company would have been able to sell "non-infected" laptop 
systems in Europe, especially given the feeling of resistance to 
Micro$oft from several European goverments !

I'd have thought by now, the Linux market would warrant the sale of 
"bare" laptop hardware. They could provide systems with demo (free) live 
bootable CDs to prove the systems operate.
