I have a Canon PowerShot SD 600 Digital GLPH (whatever that
last is) which claims to use PTP.  I installed Cameraderie
and it finds the camera but can't initialize it.  Any other
ideas?

I downloaded gphoto2 (does the new unzip unzip tar.gz
files?) but when I tried to download the libraries or
whatever that other file is that one needs. it appeared to
do something but I never got the "download to where" box
before the "download" showed as "done".

I don't want to have to buy yet another gizmo for memory
cards but if I can't get these to work...
