 - It  will be carried on cable channels some time in the future.

I would argue that showing the movie on the public airwaves cheapens it. It
portrays the full horrors of D-Day without toning them down.   When
aired on a commercial station the beach scenes will be interrupted while
you watch commercials for Toilet Bowl Cleaner with Teflon.

   There ought to be any number of other movies that honor veterans'
service that are more suitable to viewing with children.
