I know many gay men and lesbians with biological children. The fact that
these children were not the product of a specific homosexual sex act does
not in any way change the fact that their genes are being passed down to
the next generation.

There is also some evidence (still inconclusive) that the genetic
constellations that seem, in some people, to predispose them to
homosexuality may, in other combinations, lead to increased fertility. This
also leads to the genes in question being passed down. You don't have to
have kids YOURSELF in order for your genes to show up in the next
generation; it's enough if close relatives of yours have a lot of kids. Ask
any drone bee.
