Hi George,
I just happened to see something that might just fit the bill in the
October '95 issue of Bird Talk.  It's on page 78 and is called the
"Oasis Shieldguard" and works as a block between the cage bars and the
bottle.  I'll be getting one soon for the water bottle I have hanging
on my yc macaw's cage as he has a tendency to want to chew on his water
bottle from time to time.
