I've done this, too. I installed the omni driver for the HP920c, and set
the 920c as default printer. On the desktop after that is done, however,
the printer object shows the 920c graphic, but still says Lexmark z51.
When I open the properties again, both the 920c and z51 are shown in the
default printer window, and the first page of the printer properties shows
Lexijet.drv as the driver. If I try to install the 920c using the eCS
Install Local Printer, I get to the last page, click Install, and get an
error message "Installation Failed. Unable to create printer driver
object."
I've tried cleaning the ini files with Cleanini and Checkini before trying
the installation of the 920c, but I get the same results either way I try
to install the printer.

HR> folder.
I've even used prndrv.exe to remove the Lexmark driver. That also deletes
the printer object, so I'm left with nothing to get to the printer
properties.
Is the Lexmark.drv protected in some way? *adh*
