| subject: | Netscape 2.02 beta 0908 available |
LE>> from my BBS. The filename is NS_0908.ZIP. (If you prefer to get it
MB> I found it in hobbes as netscape.zip..it's also at Walnut Creek, with
MB> a slightly smaller (?) file size.
There are several escaped betas. The one I listed is the newest I know of.
It requires FP17, and is happier with FP22.
MB> hehe..I'd like to report some (sic) bugs, I wonder who ???{at}???.???? is?
I like the support number. "$1.50 per minute, minimum time 10 minutes,
thank you for your donation ;-)"
MB> - crashes with SYS3175 when you try to save a boomark,
That's related to the problem with migrating webexp links. You didn't
DELETE your netscape directory before attempting the reinstall, did you ?
You have to. After that, bookmarks work fine (except once you have a
screenful, there's no way to see the bottom ones 8-).
MB> - sometimes gives an 'exception error' if you try
Runtime error. It also tells you what source file caused it.
MB> - sometimes messes up HTML into completely unreadable Web pages, then
Sometimes shows graphics upside down too 8-)
LE>> Keep an eye on the filebase, as I will continue to post newer
LE>> of the beta as they become available (and I think there are already at
LE>> least 2 'other' versions, not sure if they're newer).
MB> I'd like to know when the 'newer' versions are released!
The two other versions are now definitely confirmed older than ns_0908.
Hell, next WEEK the public release version will be available we think
(Thursday or Friday).
